Such a pleasure to be part of the Aquatic Art – Explorations of Flow exhibition at St Margaret’s House this summer, curated by Viriginia Orr and Sayma Sultana.
This summer exhibition showed such a range of interesting and exciting work on the subject of water, from fisherman and canal boats to textural pieces exploring flow, movement and reflections. It was lovely to see my artist’s book Waterflow amongst such a range of wonderful artworks.
Thought Waterflow was made to be a book that can be touched and interacted with, in this exhibition we chose to display it as a visual piece only, and it was great to work with Virginia to present the book in the best way and ensure visitors could still enjoy the movement and flow of the book itself. It was wonderful to see each little page of the flag book moving and rippling with the movement of the air as a door opened or as people walked past.
