It was wonderful to run a fibre arts workshop at Jamboree in the Park this summer as part of Culture Within Newham’s Summer of Sustainability.

We made spiral coasters and pom-poms out of entirely upcycled materials including bin bags, cardboard boxes and discarded yarn from knitting and crochet projects.

Participants from 6 to 60 years old took part and made beautiful creations, learning coiling techniques to produce beautiful spirals that they can continue to make with items at home.
