Oyster Book is an interactive piece exploring intrinsic connections between humans and nature.
Audiences are invited to interact with the Oyster: a handbound book comprising cyanotypes of found seaweed stitched into the shell of an oyster. Audiences may turn pages, open and close the shell etc., and through physical touch leave indexical marks of their interaction. Fingerprints, stains and broken pages reflect an ecology of change; the notion that we are inevitably reshaped through connection.
